Friends of Pierce County is hosting a showing of The Future of Food that offers an indepth investigation into the truth behind the unlabeled, patented, genetically engineered foods.THE FUTURE FOOD AND FARMLAND FUNDRAISER on April 19th at the Tacoma Grand Cinema. Refreshments will be provided and a Silent Auction of local farm items will be held after the show.

Frank C. presented information on Mountain Community Co-op in Eatonville. He pointed out that anyone can shop in the store but becoming a member has its benefits.

Joyce M. wanted me to mention that it is important to carry your charger along with your cell phone. In an emergency you may need both! She also said that she subscribes to a very interesting monthly news letter called the AVANT GARDENER. You can order yours at AVANT GARDENER.
We also touched on the importance of ham radios in case of an emergency. Twin Firs Ham Radio Club is a hub for South County Communication if conventional systems are gone. However, I could not find any information on this group to share with you.
